David Quincey Retires from Coaching Youth Hockey

After over 25 years of coaching youth ice hockey, Dave Quincey has announced his retirement.

Coach Quincey was born in Kitchener, Ontario and grew up loving the game of Ice Hockey. He first joined the Freeze back in 2004. A mainstay with Denville PAL hockey and co-founder of the Denville Stars, he brought his unique Canadian experience to the Freeze. He coached teams at virtually every level and advanced to league playoffs on many occasions.

In total, Coach Quincey amassed over 300 wins with the Freeze in 15 years. In 2010, Coach Quincey and Coach Eisdorfer took control of our 18UAA/A Blue/Grey teams and had incredible success.

Coach Quincey's two son's, Connor and Chris, both skated with the Freeze for many seasons. Coach Quincey's nephew, Kyle, is a professional hockey player who has skated with the Detroit Red Wings, Colorado Avalanche and the New Jersey Devils.

Coach Quincey's stable presence in the locker room and on the bench will be deeply missed.
